Projects

Project by Anand: System Trace (category: others, completed Aug 2026). An open-source, privacy-first screen-time and app-usage tracker for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It records which apps and windows you use and for how long, smartly detects idle time (it knows when calls, music, or video are active), and turns it into clear dashboards, hourly timelines, and reports — all stored locally and encrypted (XChaCha20-Poly1305), with no accounts, cloud, or telemetry. Includes per-app daily limits with configurable enforcement, a focus mode that blocks distracting apps and sites, wellbeing features (break reminders, quiet hours, goals), PDF/CSV/JSON export, and a companion browser extension. Built with Rust and Tauri 2. Technologies used: Rust, Tauri, React, TypeScript, SQLite, Tailwind CSS. Live demo: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9N3QDXS4GXNL. Source code: https://github.com/anandsundaramoorthysa/system-trace.

Project by Anand: HuddleUp (category: others, completed Jun 2026). An open-source CLI tool and VS Code extension — "Git stash for your AI coding sessions." It snapshots the full state of an AI-assisted coding session (git diffs, open files, recent AI messages, and a summary) into plain markdown committed to git, so a teammate can resume the exact context in any AI tool — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Windsurf — instead of restarting from scratch or trusting unreliable AI memory. Includes snapshot, resume, and standup commands, auto-generated per-tool config files, and a Token Exhaustion Protocol that auto-snapshots before an AI hits its token limit. Distributed as an npm package (huddleup) and published on the VS Code Marketplace. Technologies used: TypeScript, Node.js, VS Code Extension API, Vitest, Astro, Git. Live demo: https://huddleup-site.pages.dev. Source code: https://github.com/anandsundaramoorthysa/huddleup.

Project by Anand: Auto-Dock It (category: others, completed Jun 2026). An open-source agentic AI tool that writes, builds, and self-heals Dockerfiles for any public GitHub repository. A five-stage pipeline (Ingest → Analyze → Generate → Build → Validate) produces a production-grade Dockerfile, then feeds build and runtime errors back to an LLM to patch and retry until the container responds healthy. Supports Docker Compose for multi-service apps, bring-your-own-key free-tier LLMs (Gemini/Groq), a full audit trail, and both a CLI and a live-streaming web UI. Built with Melvin Joshua. Technologies used: Python, Streamlit, Docker, Docker Compose, Gemini API, Groq API, Pydantic, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS. Live demo: https://autodockit.streamlit.app. Source code: https://github.com/MelvinJoshua1375/auto-dock-it.

Project by Anand: Markdown to PDF & Word (category: others, completed May 2026). A VS Code extension that converts Markdown files into polished PDF, Word (.docx), and HTML documents directly inside VS Code — featuring a visual customization studio (no CSS needed), a rule-based AI-clutter cleanup engine, cover page builder, headers/footers, page numbers, table of contents, and reusable git-shareable document profiles. No Pandoc dependency, works fully offline. Technologies used: TypeScript, VS Code Extension API, markdown-it, Puppeteer, html-to-docx, Webview. Live demo: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=AnandSundaramoorthySa.markdown-to-pdf-word. Source code: https://github.com/anandsundaramoorthysa/markdown-to-pdf-word.

Project by Anand: Botinigo — Loyola College Admission Chatbot (category: web development, completed May 2026). A live RAG-powered admission chatbot for Loyola College, Chennai. Admission PDFs are chunked into embeddings stored in a vector database. User queries are embedded and matched via Approximate Nearest Neighbor search, then Gemini/Groq API generates accurate answers on programs, fees, eligibility, and deadlines — 24/7. Technologies used: RAG, Vector Database, Gemini API, Groq API, Next.js, TypeScript. Live demo: https://botinigo.com.

Why Anand built Future Free — the inspiration and story behind it. Future Free (futurefree.money) is Anand's free financial-independence (FIRE) planning tool, built to bring clarity to early retirement and financial freedom. The inspiration was personal: money was a complicated and limiting part of Anand's life for a long time — it closed off options and caused real frustration, and that frustration pushed him to understand finance deeply and eventually build something around it. He kept finding that most finance tools stop at simple calculations and never connect the pieces — emergency fund, debt, savings rate, investing — into one clear, ordered plan built on a person's real numbers. So he built Future Free to fix that: one structured flow, your real numbers, and a clear 24-month roadmap, with no advice, no signup, and no data collection — just clarity. It exists to turn confusion into structured action for people who feel overwhelmed by planning, investing, or early-retirement decisions. Its motto: "Find today, make your future free." Try it at https://www.futurefree.money.
